Colour is the first thing anyone notices about a neon sign, and the one decision that is hardest to undo: every piece is built to order. This guide walks you through the 13 tones and the RGB mode, what each one does to a room, and how to pick the right one before you place the order.
Space Neon makes every LED neon sign in 13 fixed colours plus an RGB mode. Warm tones — pale pink, golden yellow, warm white — make a room feel intimate. Cool tones — ice blue, electric blue, cool white — read as modern and stay legible in daylight. Cool white and warm white are the safest all-rounders.
Two identical signs in two different colours are two different objects. Temperature is the first lever: warm tones push a space towards intimacy and comfort, cool tones towards clarity and energy. The second lever is contrast against the wall behind it — a pale pink sign on a white wall almost disappears in daylight, while the same shape in electric blue still reads across the room.
Our silicone is pigmented, so the tone stays visible even when the sign is switched off: there is no dead grey tube on the wall during the day. That matters more than people expect, because a decorative sign spends most of its life unlit. Check the colour you like both lit and unlit in the configurator before you decide.
Colour psychology is a useful tie-breaker, not a rule: red reads as urgency and appetite, blue as calm and technology, green as balance, pink as warmth and play. Treat it as a nudge when two options feel equally good — the room, the wall behind the sign and the hours you actually switch it on will decide far more than any colour theory.

The palette
Crisp, modern and the most legible tone we make. Cool white carries a faint blue cast that reads as clean and makes a space feel bigger. It is the safest choice when the sign has to be understood rather than felt: shop logos, business names, reception walls and any phrase that must survive daylight and ambient lighting.

The fastest way to choose is to start from where the sign will live and what it has to do there. These are the six situations we are asked about most.
A bedroom sign is lighting first and decoration second, so warmth wins: warm white, pale pink and violet all sit well at low brightness and never feel clinical. Avoid cool white here unless the room doubles as an office. If the wall is light, skip pale pink — it will wash out during the day.
Weddings are photographed, and that changes the brief: the sign has to look good on camera at night and in a marquee. Warm white is the classic and flatters every skin tone; pale pink is the romantic option; magenta pink is the one that pops hardest in photos. Cool white can look cold in wedding pictures.
Gaming rooms are already full of coloured light, so the sign has to compete. Electric blue and green are the two that hold their own next to a lit keyboard and screen glow. RGB is the obvious pick if you want the wall to follow whatever the rest of the setup is doing tonight.
Hospitality has two jobs for a sign: atmosphere and wayfinding. Golden yellow and warm white handle atmosphere and flatter wood and brick; red and cool white handle the parts guests must actually read — the name, the bar, the way to the terrace. Pick one warm tone for mood and one cool tone for information.
For an event the sign is a backdrop, so choose for the camera rather than the room: magenta pink, orange and lemon yellow all photograph loudly against a dark drape. RGB earns its place here too, because one piece can serve several nights with a different look each time.
A commercial sign has to survive daylight through a window, which rules out the soft tones. Cool white, electric blue and red keep their contrast in a lit shop. If the piece is a brand mark rather than a phrase, match the tone to your brand colour and check it unlit too — that is how it will spend opening hours.

Start from the room, not from the colour. Warm tones — pale pink, orange, golden yellow, warm white — create closeness and suit bedrooms, weddings and lounges. Contrast decides, not brightness. Cool white, electric blue, red and magenta pink hold their edge even with the blinds open. In a very bright room, avoid the softest tones — pale pink and aqua green — if legibility matters, and remember that the wall behind the sign counts as much as the colour: a dark surface buys you far more contrast than a lighter tone ever will.

The differences you perceive between colours come from how the eye reads each hue and from the contrast with the surroundings, not from a meaningful change in consumption. The warranty does not depend on the tone either. Every sign is covered for 3 years from delivery against manufacturing and functional defects — a year beyond the EU minimum.
